About the Commercial Retrofit Roundtable Series:
These roundtables held throughout Atlantic Canada brought together a focused mix of building owners, solution providers, policymakers, utilities, and finance partners to explore how Atlantic Canada can scale up retrofits at the pace required. The sessions dug into what’s blocking progress today, what solutions are already working, and what combination of incentives and policy tools can help accelerate action. Participants examined two to three priority focus areas—such as financing models, workforce capacity, or performance requirements—to identify practical steps that strengthen the region’s retrofit market. The overall goal was to generate clear insights, shared priorities, and collaborative actions that move the commercial retrofit market forward.
